Art Colleges or Universities with Art related programs and careers, specifically focus on the visual arts, specialize in anything from photography, painting, drawing, graphic design, illustration, fashion, industrial design, and more. We've successfully prepared students for several of these schools, from Architecture in FIU to RISD, the number 3 or 4 Art and Design College in the world, as well as for many other schools.
All these schools require that you present a body of work called an Art Portfolio. Requirements vary from school to school. Some require that you work with a specific prompt or word, besides your artwork. Your work is the way you show your skill at using the languages of art to express who you are, what you believe in, what you care about, what moves you. Each year these colleges and universities evaluate thousands of applicants.
We work with you and your family to help you gain acceptance to your dream school, but you need to start early. It's easy to make "pretty" art, but making significant artwork that will stand out from the thousands of portfolios takes time and a lot of thought and creative power.
Informed by the experience of 15 years successfully preparing students, we coach the applicant in creating a unique and original portfolio.
INTERVIEW: Contact us to schedule an interview and diagnostic evaluation. Applicants should come with a list of target colleges that has been shared with parents to evaluate realistic financial feasibility. All the artwork created in the past year must be brought to the interview, as well as sketchbooks.
